Matrix is Latin for womb- and we women know about wombs! But we are discovering
that we are all in a Collective Matrix- a naturally enclosed space within which
something originates and forms- we are feeling something forming - an energy, a
birthing of creativity that is a connection that is in particular woman centered.
And it makes us laugh with the joy of gathering, and generating support from
each other.
So I want to introduce you to some of the really fascinating women I
have met in my discovery of the Women’s Collective Matrix. They are invariably
deeply committed to a better world for future generations; they are complex and
many-sided women, doing fascinating things. They have piqued questions in my
mind and I hope you will be inspired by what they are being and doing in our
world.
I expect
these intimate conversations to highlight EcoBirth’s philosophy of Deep Womb
Ecology which realizes the reclaimed story of creation and redemption in our maternal
lines back to the beginning of the cosmos. We women come from a long history of
oppression and we feel the dark trauma of Mother Earth in our cells. Like
in birth labor, we can yield to our body’s innate knowing, to open, to birth
our beauty and compassion and as bearers of the future generations in our
wombs, claim our sacred and joyous authority to care for, protect and
bless all life. As a collective matrix, we can form a world reflecting our
ancestral kinship of healing, nurturance and well-being.
We invite
our Ancestors to join us in this conversation, because they are us- meaning, the
effects of their lives are contained in our cells. To the extent that this is
so, we are our ancestors, as well as all the elements that formed us including
the Earth, Sun, Air and Water - sometimes we feel possessed! We are! We honor
their grief and joy through the many generations. We know they are in the Womens Collective Matrix with us.
These
Conversations with Women of the Collective Matrix may help us make meaning of
our personal and collective story. My hope for the Collective Women’s Matrix is
that it functions as an attractor for environmental, societal, and cultural
change and transformation via a growing sense of collective feminine strength. These
Conversations with our Matrix womb-mates will be archived as a series of video
interviews which will be turned into an art exhibit and book.
This is our pathway:
1- Awake to who we are-connected
in one body to all life before and after us, womanly life-givers
2- Honor who we are- our
history, feel our sufferings and joys, reclaiming our feminine intuition
3- Re-know with our hearts what
is happening in our culture and our role to change it, proclaiming our innate
authority
4- Gather in the collective
matrix, take actions, stand up, speak out, be visible, at risk, courageous
5- Heal our world, change it, sing it,
dance it, embody it, move it, love it, pass it on continuously
We will
blazon our efforts across our families, homes, nations and worlds. We will stop
hiding, speak our gut-voice and express our spiritual gifts. In consciously
re-membering our Motherline knowing, we reclaim our authority to guide and
protect subsequent generations.
Nothing is more
important than women claiming their histories, redeeming their ancestors and
prophesying to the current generation.
Ancestors join
us today, guide our voices and hearts, re-ignite our inner wisdom, knowledge and
authority for the challenging work that is our responsibility now and for the
future generations. Blessings on us now and forever more.Amen.
See on the upper right of this page, the first conversation that I recorded with Diana Paul of LoveDelivers, talking about a Birth Revolution! See this description:
Molly Arthur of EcoBirth-Women for Earth and Birth interviews Diana Paul of Love Delivers about The Birth Revolution that is exploding now across the globe- women have the right to have the births that they want- yes, it is a Right and we need a Revolution to guarantee it!
Understanding the implications on themselves and on their children of interventions, interferences or fear is an essential part of a women's autonomy and capacity to make decisions about her motherbaby relationship.
And her bodily intuition and powerful natural birthing capability creates a profound spiritual experience for mother and baby: so a peaceful world and the well being of the future generations are more possible!
